I will say that the Paradox series does offer more, but this is still a rather interesting sex game that manages to mix in RPG elements quite well. While I have just looked at the first chapter, I am intrigued enough to want to see what else this has. I can see why Monster Girl Quest is such a popular game. Overall I think the quality of the character designs is not bad at all. As is the case with any erotic game, what you think is hot is going to differ to what the next person thinks is hot.
Thankfully, this is a game that has quite a lot of characters that want to put Luka in his place so you do have a nice variety of girls to look at as you play through the game.
The artwork here is pretty well done and I am sure there will be some characters that you think are hot and others not quite as much. They are quite varied and while some may be monstrous, they all have some kind of sexiness to them. One thing that you have to give Monster Girl Quest credit for is the design of the monster girls. Luka can make some dialogue choices, but most of these will just change the dialogue and not have any longstanding effect on the story. However, it does add more depth to the game than many sex games have. It is not the deepest “RPG” you will ever play. Luka can use skills, magic, and regular attacks as well as defending himself. The real sex action takes place when Luka fails and these monster girls have their way with him! So sometimes you do want to lose, but this does mean you have to play this part of the game again. It is done via a turn-based system and what is weird is that while you want to defeat all of the monster girls that you come across. The combat is the main aspect of Monster Girl Quest’s gameplay.
It is rather basic in this regard, but it does give you something else to be doing. Luka can talk to NPC characters and other things that you would expect. Outside of combat most of what you do is done via clicking certain points on the screen. There are two main forms of gameplay, combat, and outside of combat. Well yes as strange as it may sound Monster Girl Quest is best described as an RPG/erotic game hybrid.
